Engineering office registration legal requirements

A. The Association member wishing to register an office in his name with the office registry shall:

  1. Be a Jordanian national;
  2. Be registered with the Association registries and paying the fees incurred by him to the Association;
  3. Have practiced the profession for no less than seven years, three of which are in the design works; and
  4. Be dedicated for practicing the profession at his office.

B. The engineering company registration shall meet the following requirements:

  1. Registration shall be made with the Company Control Department.
  2. Its objectives shall be consistent with the Law and this Statute.
  3. Its headquarter must be within the Kingdom.
  4. It shall have its dedicated technical staff.
  5. The shares or stocks of the company Jordanian shareholders registered with the Association as members and dedicated for the work therein shall be no less than 50% of the company’s capital or equities.
  6. The Jordanian members of the company shall be no less than half the members.
  7. The company authorized signatory shall be one of the Jordanian dedicated members whose experience in practicing the profession is no less than seven years, three of which are in the design works.
