Mafraq Branch
The has been big since the very beginning despite the limited abilities then a series of meetings for Mafraq engineers leading to forming the first Center Committee in 1985 and electing the first Branch Committee in 1986.
The major concern of the Branch is to provide the highest level possible of service and to take the fellow engineers and the profession to the next level.
The Branch started to develop albeit slowly due to the limited number of engineers at that time. However, with the increase in the number of engineers in the Governorate and the increase in the bond of the engineers and their interests with their Association, it became necessary to proceed with the development, as the Branch went through several stages such as:
- The approval of offices for the Branch at the Professional Associations Complex in Mafraq City.
- The equipment of a technical section to review and approve the engineering drawings.
- The move and rent of a new and detached building, which was fully furnished and equipped.
- The appointment of financial and administrative personnel for the purpose of taking the service to the next level.
- The commencement of giving specialized engineering courses.
- The expansion in the fields of the Branch business through the personnel and the equipment of the Engineers Training Center.
After the acquisition of the plot of land allocated for the Professional Associations Complex in 2003, there was a serious attempt to start building. In 2010, the Engineers Association in Mafraq was assigned to manage the construction project of the Associations Complex and to start making the procedures.
In the beginning, the engineering drawings of the Complex were prepared in 2011, and the structure works of the Complex constructions were commenced in 2011. The building is located on a four-dunam plot of land in Hai Al Husban. It is a two-story building, and the ground floor is the Professional Association Complex building with an area of 1100 square meters. It includes a meeting room, activity room, offices for all associations and a basement for services. The entire upper floor is for the Engineers Association consisting of offices, a meeting room, activity room and the Engineers Training Center.
After a constant effort and intensive follow up made by the Branch Council and a constant support provided by the Association Council and the General Secretariat, the dream finally came true and the building was constructed.
